23 months and still waiting

by Anoymous

Sales for Direct TV will tell anyone and everyone exactly what they want to hear to get a customer. Once it's installed they know it's difficult to get rid of.

Example: I recently purchased my first home. I was a comcast customer for 10 years and didn't have any problems.

I was informed by Direct TV that while living in New Jersey would be able to pick up NESN (New England Sports Network) by purchasing a sports pack, which would give me access to all RedSox, Bruins and Celtics games.

The fact is I have NESN with the sports package but since I live in NJ cannot get any Professional Sports. If I cancel, there is a early termination fee which I was never informed of and even canceling the sports package (doesn't work as described) would cost $$.

Basically: I was told by Direct TV I would get something that's not availble but they don't care cause they have a new customer who's locked in for 24 months. To me it's the old bait and switch tactic.
