Bad Direct TV customer Service

I am a direct TV customer. My wife and I recently had a kid and needed to downgrade our package temporally.
So I switched to the family package and sent in my additional box. I also wanted to swap my HD DVR for a regular DVR but was told that it would cost $99.00 to swap them out when I just paid to have my HD DVR installed.
So now I am stuck paying $10.00 a month for the two or three pointless HD channels that come on the family package.
I recently switched to Direct TV from cable and I am going to pay for the penalty and going back to cable.
I plan to go out of my way to talk people out of using direct TV. With the way that the economy is and all the money your company makes; it is pretty low of you to make it so hard for people to downgrade temporary.
