Direct TV Ripoff
by: miamibob2006@yahoo.com

I decided to cancel my direct TV after a year and a half of losing picture whenever it rained. In that time I learned that when you sign up for Direct TV, they do NOT guarantee you signal.

What they do is guarantee you NOTHING. If you want be guaranteed a signal, then you have to sign up for their service agreement, at an additional monthly cost.

Otherwise, if you lose your picture, you're out of luck, unless you want to pay hundreds of dollars each time they need to come over and adjust your Dish.

When I canceled the service, I was told I would have to pay a $50 early cancellation fee because, and I quoted: "You have to live up to your commitment."

When I suggested that Direct TV was not living up its commitment, which is providing me with a clear signal, the customer service representative didn't know what to say.

So there you have it. If you sign up for Direct TV, don't think they have to provide you with a clear signal as part of the price. That's extra. Enjoy.
