"Looking for Easy To Follow Compare Dish Network DirecTV Guide?"

Direct TV and Dish Network, they are fighting each other fiercely since 10 years ago, like Optimus Prime and Megatron.. and both of them are still survive until today :)

So, the most FAQ that come into mind is :" Which of them is better?" Direct TV Or Dish Network? It is a bit hard for you to compare by just looking at their offer alone.

You can see on both of the Direct TV and Dish Network official website that they are putting various reasons to show you that they are on the upper hand when compare to another opponent :) Direct TV system

And you can easily find from google search, the similar reasons that given by different Direct TV retailers and Dish Network retailers.. To be honesty with you, I think all these information given is just to get your sales, and not to tell you the facts :P

Dish Network system

Well, let me share with you my own points of view :) As you know that both Direct TV and Dish Network will need you to sign up a 2 years contract with them when you are taking any of their package, and you will be imposed penalty charges from both of them if you are deciding to terminate their service before the contract period end.

Compare Dish Network DirecTV - Penalty Fees

When come to penalty fees, Direct TV charge you USD 20 / month x remaining of the months before the contract period end; and dish network are charging you USD 17.50 / month.

But, if you are planning to stay with them for at least 2 years, then you no need to consider this factor.

Compare Dish Network DirecTV - Equipment Leasing Fees

As you might also aware than both Direct TV and Dish Network is leasing their equipment to you, without charging any equipment cost.

But, please aware that Direct TV will offer you up to maximum 4 TV sets in your house to have Direct TV program, and Dish Network will allow you to have 6 TV sets in your house to have their Dish Network channels.

The best part is, both of them do charge you leasing fees in the equipment that you acquired for. For Direct TV, First standard receiver is free, and each additional standard receiver will be charge USD 6.00 / month.

If you want to get Direct TV DVR Receiver, First 2 sets of DVR receiver is charged additional USD 7.00 / month, the additional sets DVR receiver will be charged USD 99 / set.

When come to Dish Network equipment leasing cost, Dish network will offer free first 2 set of standard receiver, without any leasing fees, and each of the additional receiver will be charged USD 7.00 / month.

And Dish network only allow maximum 2 receivers in your house to come with DVR service, and you will only be charged USD 6.00 / month for the DVR features.

I can see that Dish network is charging lower leasing fees overall, unless you need to have the DVR features to be included in 4 sets of your TV set.
