Direct TV Channels Missing

Your DirecTV Channels missing from your on-screen guide and you cannot scroll to them using channel up/down?

Possible Causes:

You may have mistakenly toggled to the "favorite channels list" mode, which only displays certain channels.

You or someone in your home may have set a password to block out particular channels. You may be looking for a channel number that Direct TV company that does not use to transmit programming.

To allow room for future expansion, we have deliberately left some channel numbers without any assigned network.

Solution:

Try to go to the missing channel by entering the channel number on the remote control keypad. Do not use channel up/down, and do not try to select the channel from a channel list, program guide, or favorites list.

If this approach takes you to the correct channel, you need to adjust your favorites list function. Press the "guide" button on your remote. Look for a button on your remote called "fav" or "list."

Press it several times and watch for an indication at the top of the guide that you are moving from "all channels" to a particular favorites list.

See your owner's manual for information on managing favorite channel lists and locking out channels. Enter your password, if necessary.
