Believe me I was looking forward to Direct TV. The sales representative promised me the moon: for the "choice" package I was offered $62 a month for the first month and 54.95 a month after that for a hook up of 5 tvs.
Of course, add on the one time "delivery fee" of 21.15...but hey! I was happy with that. The problem starts with the inexperience sales representative who put my physical address as my mailing address.. and so my confirmation paper ended up in my driveway.
Next, my information was recorded wrong, 4 tvs instead of 5. You'd think, hey no big deal put another receiver in the truck when they come out on Thursday... oh HELL NO!!!! After being on the phone for one hour and talking to 4 representativess and 1 manager I was told, they'd have to change my service date (for their mistake), and then, they planned on charging me $69.00 for the additional receiver that sales representative told me would be free. ( no kidding! )
I told them to cancel, which of course did not take them an hour to do. Bottom line: bait and switch + terrible service makes my "choice" package ANYTHING BUT Direct TV. Buyer beware, I plan on spreading the news to family and friends.
