Direct TV Give me good service

We've been Direct tv customers for several years and most of the time the service has been excellent.
Yesterday when I needed help it was EXCEPTIONAL. We haven't lived here long and my husband bought a new hd tv when he was home last week-end.
He just plugged in the wires and left. I called direct tv for help programming the remote. When I hung up, I realized I had no sound. I called direct tv again and the tech whose name I can't remember (he was in Mississippi), had me look at the way it was plugged in and had me change 2 of the plugs.
It had sound. This was not a direct tv problem but he went out of his way to help me.
