Direct TV H10 Receiver

by Bob
(Shawsville, VA)

For several years, I have kept an older model H10 Direct TV receiver, but didn't subscribe to the HD package.

Now I am considering restoring my Direct TV service, but don't want to commit to another 2-year contract with them, so I want to keep using my H10 receiver.

Of course, Direct TV wants me to get a new dish + receiver... they say the H10 is out-of-date. I'll bet the H10 receiver WILL pick up all of the HD programing for DirecTV.

Am I correct? I recently acquired a slimline HD dish to use with the HD service.

Please let me know. Thanks!

Terrence Comment: Well, I am not sure whether the HD Receiver you own able to fit the purpose or not. But the point is, you still need to sign a 2 year contract with them no matter you are using your own Direct TV Receiver or theirs..
