Direct TV HD Receiver

HD Receiver will allow you to watch HD Programming from Direct TV whereby standard receiver will only allow you to watch standard programming.

Please note that both standard programming and HD programming share the same channel numbers, if you have HD Receiver, you watch the show in HD, if you have standard receiver, then you watch the show in standard movie.

Direct TV HD Receiver


It is no need to buy the HD receiver by yourself. When you sign up HD programming from Direct TV, they will send you a set of HD receiver with no charge when you received it.

But it is not free for you, Direct TV will charge you monthly equipment leasing fees for 2nd set of HD receiver onward that you wish to install in your house at USD 6.00 / month( First set of HD Receiver will not be charged any leasing fees )

Please note that monthly equipment leasing fees for standard receiver and HD receiver is the same, USD 6.00 / receiver per month, count from 2nd receiver onward, maximum up to 4 receiver.

And, if you plan to take their HD programming, and you are taking their family choice package, they will charge you extra USD 10.00 / month for HD programming subscription.

If you take Family Choice Xtra package or above, and you are taking their HD programming, the $10 / month for HD programming will be waived if you choose their auto billing option.

But if you do not take their auto billing option, you will still be charge $10 / month for the HD programming no matter which package you are taking from them.
