Direct TV Installation Problems

by Denise
(Virgin Island, USA)

We are having trouble getting Direct TV installed, we are in the US virgin islands.

There is 1 installer and he is mostly in St Thomas. If we have an account set up in Puerto Rico and only need the receiver and card can we purchase them and get started?

It has been a month since I ordered, the Direct TV dish has already been installed with cable running to the house, do they (Direct TV) still just send the signal after all is set up? Please give me advice on how to get Direct TV!

Thanks.

Terrence Comments: Hi Denise, as far as I know, Direct TV will do the whole installation system complete and ensure it is workable one shot after they had done the installation process - inclusive of dish, receiver, remote control and all connection cable had been setup and the whole system is done. Your package price has include all these equipments, you no need to purchase any equipment at all, no installation charges, equipment cost nor activation fees; you shall just pay the monthly subscription fees )

You shall call them out to settle this "inperfect" system as see what they say. It is better still if you can pay a visit to their office and talk to them face to face and jot down the agreement in black and white to prevent future dispute like :"Are they start charging you now even their system haven't complete?"

But there are lot of Direct TV subscribers complaint that they have a lot of unprofessional installer there. Good Luck!
