A Multi switch able to take the input from two dual LNB ( Low Noise Block Converter) Dish. Of course, both of the dual dish have to be connected to the multi switch by using cable. The multi switch able to lock one of the LNB Dish; looking at the even transporter. Besides, the balance dish will be always looking at another odd transporter. With this working cycle, a DirecTV Multi switch is only works with Dual LNB Dish, and not single LNB Dish.
The Multi switch will then have multiple output to few Direct TV Receivers. Of course, it need to be even numbers ( Etc - 4,8,12 ) and not Odd numbers (etc - 3,6,9 ) When you connect the Direct TV receiver to the multi switch, the switch itself will determines which of the two LNB's Dish that the receiver needs to look at depending if it needs to view odd or even transponders. If you change the channel, the multi switch will then swaps your connection to the other LNB Dish if necessary. With a multi switch, the LNB's never change which side they are looking at.
