Direct TV Receiver Owner

by Annoymous
(USA)

We purchased two Hughes Direct TV receivers at a country fair along with Direct TV programming. When one of the receivers stopped working; Direct TV sent us a new one,the new one was not a Hughes receiver.

We have another Hughes that just stopped working. We have another Direct TV box we bought at a swapmeet.

When we put our card in the new receiver it said card is the wrong card. Does any one know how to make the card work.

Terrence Comment: Well, You shall take the Direct TV card together with Your Direct TV Receiver to the the electronic store that sell you the new receiver to check with them is that the correct card that match for your receiver.

If not, try to discuss with them whether you can exchange for the receiver model that works with your Direct TV card.

If they refuse to do so, you might want to consider option of getting a new direct tv card that match your new receivers since Direct TV card price is much more cheaper than Direct TV receiver.

Good Luck!
