Direct TV Receiver

" Check out the Insider Tips of Direct TV Receiver In No Time! "

Do you want to get some DirecTV Receiver information? Or even more? Then you have come to the Right Place :)

First of all, do you know why we need Direct TV Receiver in our Direct TV system? Basically, it serve 4 essential jobs:-

1. It de-scrambles the encrypted signal. Sound a bit high tech :)? It receive the Satellite TV signal that sent from the Satellite TV provider and convert it into the programming packages through the decorder chips.

2. It takes the digital MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 signal and converts it into an analog format that a standard television set can recognize.

3. Direct TV Receivers also extracts the individual channels from the larger satellite signal. There is a interesting piece of info that you must know before you buy your Receiver :- When you change the channel on the Direct TV receiver, it sends just the signal for that channel to your TV set.

Since the Receiver spits out only one channel at a time, you can't tape one program and watch another.

You also can't watch two different programs on two TVs hooked up to the same receiver. In order to do these things, which are standard on conventional cable, you need to buy an additional receiver.

P/s - Normally people will buy more than 1 receiver if they want to hook to 2 TV sets in their house. No point that 2 TV shows same channels at same time I guess? Unless exceptional case like if you have rent one of your room to your tenant and he/she prefer to watch the Direct TV prgrammes in his / her own room...

A bit too far I guess? All right, back to track :)

4.It keeps track of pay-per-view programs and periodically phones a computer at the provider's headquarters to communicate billing information. In other words, It records the pay per view program that you watched.. then later on send you a nice bill for you to pay in the end of the months :P (

But I have heard lot of Direct TV Customers complaints that the Direct TV Bills that they received in the end of month not tally with the programme they watched, this might be there are some bugs in the Receiver during recording process.. )

For more relevant information, you can check on the Direct TV Reviews

If you haven't sign up any Direct TV Packages before, please do not purchase a Direct TV Receiver now :) Why? that is because Direct TV Packages will include a free standard receiver.

How about if the information above didn't provide you what you are looking for? No worries :) Key in your "wanted" keyword in the search box below and HIT the "Google Search" button. Good Luck! :)
