Direct TV shall not simply deduct money from my checking account

I have been a customer with Direct TV for a couple of years and through that time I have had my service turned off because I couldn't pay the bill at that time.

Now I do not dispute the fact that I owed the bill but I don't think that they should be able to go into your checking account and just take the money because they do not know if that money could be for medication or any important uses

I know that it is in the contract but I think that it needs to be changed before someone lose their life. THIS NEEDS TO BE CHANGED!
