When you set up what packages you want, pick the sports package. I have this package and watch just about every game on Fox Midwest (channel 671). The only games not shown on that channel are the ones shown on Fox afternoon games.
If the game is being shown on ESPN or MLB, and Fox Midwest, the game will be blacked out on the national channels and will be available on Fox Midwest ch. 671.
I had Suddenlink when I lived in base housing at Little Rock AFB, and I've never experienced a more disappointing service in my life.
Half of the channels looked as though they were over the air broadcasts. You will be so happy with Direct tv, as long as you don't mind paying to rent the equipment and get the equipment protection plan, it will save you big time if even one box goes out for any reason.
And Fox Midwest does a great job of broadcasting the cardinal games.
I am originally from Florida, so I got the sports package to see the Fox FL channel to follow real college sports like The Gators.
The cardinal games just turned out to be a lucky benefit, which turned out to be an addition to my favorite channels with Fox Midwest.
In addition to all of this, you can watch more college football games than if you got the ESPN Gameplan!
Hope my long comment was helpful in answering one, or many more questions about Direct tv's sports package!

Suddenlink Deal is Exclusive by: Anonymous
I've heard that Suddenlink's deal for the extra Cardinals games is exclusive. I can?t speak to Direct TV?s MLB out-of-market deal, but I don?t believe they could better the 130 Cardinals games Suddenlink televises via channel 26 in Jonesboro.
