Direct TV System in different States

by Amber
(Florida)

I have a Direct TV system that gave by my brother, who is also the account holder. He lives in Texas, I stay in Florida.

My Question is, can I have a Direct TV technician to come and figure out what is wrong with my satellite/receiver without getting my brother in trouble?

The picture keeps freezing and skipping. Figured it was my receiver but the new one does the same thing and the cable hooked up to it is fine and the TV is brand new.

Terrence Comment: Hi Amber, If you ask my opinion, I will suggest you to removed and return your brother Direct TV Equipment set to him and ask him to terminate his Direct TV service if he do not want it anymore.

If you are talking about legal law, Direct TV equipment is non transferable, both of you and your brother might get into trouble if Direct TV find out this issue..

You can just try to apply your Direct TV services yourself since Direct TV is giving away free equipment with free installation to their new customer.

You will just need to continue pay for the monthly subscription fees that you are paying now, and the installer will make sure that the new set of Direct TV Equipment works on you house.

Hope it helps :)
