DirectTV Customer Loyalty Incentive - Not!

Customer in Wisconsin for 9 years:
We have 2 (1 year old) receivers, one has DVR, the other does not. Just received a DISH offer in the mail for 4 receivers with free installation and other free limited-time channel offerings.
Contacted Sherri in Customer Service at Direct TV today to request another new DVR receiver (which costs me roughly another $10/month to pay for the receiver operation/DVR capability) - they refused.
She spoke to her supervisor, and he/she also refused to match the offer and made this poor woman stay on the phone with me for the entire 45 minutes!
In 2008, I had both 7 year old receivers replaced due to hardware issues but I had to threaten to leave Direct TV in order to receive service.
I simply wanted another to add TV to a basement bedroom. Not only do they offer poor customer service (they knew the old receivers were failing and did nothing, last year), but they refused to match their competitor's offerings.
