If you wish to get Direct TV HD Channels, it is compulsory for you to have a set of HDTV ( High definition television ) in your home, it can be LCD Flat screen TV or Plasma TV.



HDTV can show you both standard programming and HD programming, which in much more clear and detailed picture than the standard analog TV. But of course, the HDTV price will be much more higher than your standard TV as well.

Direct TV is offering both standard local channels and HD local channels to their customers. They are offering 170 ++ local channels market in whole United States nowadays.

Besides, Direct TV also offering neighboring local channels to many area in USA as well.

But, please note that most of the time you can only able to get local channels within your state or local channels for your neighbouring state if your house is located near the boundary within 2 states.

Press 18 to check your system, if you see the word "channel" on your TV screen, press the "Guide" button on your remote twice; a window of channel information will pop up at your TV screen.
