It's service coverage area almost whole United States and have up to 10 million of present customers. Of course, among the customers, there are some customers complaint that Direct TV do not have good customer service or have bad technical service if the equipment went wrong... no matter how, it cant cover the facts that it is the major satellite tv provider in United States. It is well known of providing huge variety choice of sport packages to keep most of their male customers and lot of movies channels to keep most of their female customers :) They even have lot of kids channels like cartoon, disney channels, discovery channels, education channels and etc.. It is success to grab new customer by offer low monthly subscription fees, providing free equipments and variety of channels option. You know, just the Direct TV equipment cost alone might easily cost you few hundred dollars, and they are willing to provide the equipment for you without charging you any rental fees. But of course, it will ask you to replace a new set of equipment to them when the equipment that installed in your house no longer working.. Some of the folks complaint that why after they make the payment for the new equipment and yet the new set of equipment is not belong to them? Well, from the business point of view, I think it is quite fair.. It provide you first set of equipment to you without charge you a single cent on equipment cost; only until the equipment damaged then they ask you to pay them back on the equipment..don't you think it is fair? You might still argue that the DirecTV DirecTV equipment that installed in your house is the old set and the new replacement with your own money is brand new! Well, let us view it from another angle, if you stand on this point, then if DirecTV DirecTV tell you:" All right, then you buy your set of equipment then i come to install for you, ok?" Well, you need to come out few hundred dollars upfront just to have the equipments; and not even watch the programming yet.. And few hundred dollars of equipment cost may enough for your 1 year subscription fees.. If you say :" Its fine for me!" Then go ahead, you can tell Direct TV your choice before schedule for installation, they do not mind :) They make money from your programming, not your equipment :) Or you tell DirecTV DirecTV:" Then you shall include every thing in the package!".. Ok, Direct TV is a company to do business, make profit! They are not here to do charity.. Do you think they will collect less than USD 100.00 / month from you then gift you of new equipment that worth of few hundreds dollars? If they do that, sure they will bankrupt in next few months.. If they include everything in the package, then who shall bear this cost? Finally, you are the one who bear it, you will need to pay for even higher monthly subscription fees at the end of the day!
