The 6.2 software upgrade will roll out over a period of several months beginning in February, 2005. Customers with more than one Direct TV DVR may receive their upgrades at different times for each receiver. Besides, please aware of that the DVR models SONY SAT-T60, PHILIPS DSR6000R, HUGHES GXCEBOT and HR10-250 will not receive the DirecTV DVR Upgrade at this time. Plus, the 6.1 software on the Direct TV R10 DVR already includes the 6.2 features such as folders and faster menu scrolling. Plus, some of your settings or preferences will be changed back to the factory default settings as a result of the upgrade. These include: "Favorite Channels," "Channels You Receive," "Spending Limits" and "Clear Channel Banner Quickly." You'll receive an on-screen message the first time you visit Direct TV Central after your upgrade is complete. It will also appear in your Messages section.
