DVR is known as Digital Video Recorder, that allow you to record two playing movies at the same time while you are watching the 3rd shows. With this Enhance features in the HD Receiver, you are hardly to miss your favorite shows. You can also pause, rewind, slow motion and replay live TV up to 90 minutes. With DVR storage space, you can record normal movie programming up to 100 hours or HD programming up to 30 hours. You can also preset your record time so that you still able to record your favorite shows when you are away. HD Receiver allow you to watch your favorite HD Programming. Of course, just HD Receiver and Direct TV HD Programming alone is not good enough. You need to have the HDTV ( Plasma TV or flat screen LCD will be fine ) - If you rich enough, then go for the full HD model :) You will need to subscribe HD Direct TV Programming in order to watch HD shows. Direct TV will free supply the HD Direct TV Equipment to you if you are taking their HD packages. But of course, HD Packages will be more expensive than standard programming. Please note that the Direct TV Equipment that supply by Direct TV will be not gifted by them free to you - They are just borrowing it to you at very minimal leasing fees.
