DirecTV HR20

" Looking for the Easy To Follow DirecTV HR20 Guide?"

As far as I know, it is a DVR ( Digital Video Recorder ) for Direct TV system which manufactured by Hughes Network System. It is a HD ( High Definition ) DVR that can record up to 200 hours.

DVR HR20 have the features of instant reply, pause live TV, simultaneous record and playback and one touch recording.

Its sound output mode in stereo and have dolby digital audio encording system. DirecTV HR20 One thing I wish to highlight here is that its remote control is using Infra-red technology and able to support TV, VCR, Cable Box and DVD Player.

However, the manufacturer limited warranty period only up to 90 days which I think is a bit insufficient for the user to detect any problems or not :(

Well, the DVR HR20 can receives and records new MPEG-4 AVC programming, including local and other HD channels not available on older receivers.

Besides, it can record two HD shows simultaneously while playing back a third and record two over-the-air HD programs simultaneously.

It can bookmark scenes within recordings for easy access; RF-capable remote; impressive image quality.

However, lot of users complaint that DirecTV HR20 has Operational bugs include occasional dropped video and audio, crashes, and missed recordings.

Besides, it also lacks true 30-second skip function; no picture-in-picture; consist of lighter selection of local HD sports channels than the cable TV.

It also do not have aspect-ratio control with HD sources; EPG still cannot be limited to only subscribed-to channels; cannot properly extend end time of scheduled recordings.. and some even complaint that this device is noisy when running.

Generally, DVR HR20 is easy to use and offers plenty of features, but it also have more operational bugs compare to other model of DVRs.
