Imcompetent Direct TV billing department

I have been turned over to collecting with American Satellite and have been charged $975 on my credit card because of billiing errors.
Direct TV tells me I haven't been turned over for collection, but I have and I have the bill to prove it.
NO one in the billing department can tell me why I was sent to collection, they have no record of collection. I have been trying to speak with a supervisor with no luck.
I have never experienced such an incompetent billing department.
