Missing Direct TV Channels Guide

by Annoymous
(USA)

There are many reasons why some of the Direct TV channels are missing from your programing. First, check all the connectors if one has gone bad. It can make the receiver lose transponders.

Next, check the LNB make sure that it is tight in the LNB port on the dish. Look at the LNB real good, it may have A crack in it from the heat or just a defect.

I had one get a crack in it one time somehow and when it rain it would fill up with water. If you have more then one receiver and need a multi- switch, it could have gone bad.

There is one way you can check is to see if it as gone bad, unhook the multi switch now, hook up one Direct TV receiver at a time to the coax coming from the LNB.

You can use a barrel connector to do this then run a test on each receiver. 5 of the transponders are missing that is normal; any more then that and must be a bad connector.

I hope this helps you out.

Terrence Comment: Although you do not put your name, I am really appreciate and thanks for your handful guide for all of us. Thanks :)
