What is a barrel connector?
by: Anonymous

A barrel connector is used to connect two pieces of wire together to form a smooth connection. Each of the wires is stripped about 1/4", then placed in either end of the connector.

The ends of the connector are clamped down usually with a pliers, then the ends of the barrel are heated to form a protective seal around the connection.

The end result is that you have a wire with an uninterrupted connection. I hope this helps.

Good luck!
