The caller ID cant show on the TV screen. Please help.

We recently got telephone caller id, but we unable to get the caller id to show up on our tv. We had even called the Direct TV customer service and the Direct TV representative told us to turn the notification on. I have done it but still it is not showing on tv when phone rings...
