Tips for choosing cable for your Direct TV HDTV Receiver

by Richard
(New York)

In order to get the real HD ( High Definition ) effects on your TV, just a set of HDTV, use Direct TV HDTV Receiver may be not good enough.

You might not know that a low quality cable is going to diminish your HDTV viewing experience, whereby a high quality cable is going to give you an optimal viewing experience.

The catch is, how to differentiate between a high quality cable and a low quality cable?

Well, it is all decide by the cable is made out of what :- It is a solid copper core cable or copper clad steel cable.

While copper clad steel cable is much cheaper than the solid copper core cable, it will impede the signal strength and not allow the full quality of the HD digital output to reach your Direct TV HDTV receiver.

This can be prevented by a professional installation of solid copper core RG6 coaxial cable from the satellite dish to your receiver.

Realistic rule apply - "If A product is expensive than the other; sure it has the reason behind; If not it will wiped out from the market in no time"

The next thing that I wish to share is that most cables used in Direct TV HDTV receiver installation will be gold plated for seamless passing of your signal from one point to another.

Never ever let your installer tell you that you can save money by using ones that are not gold plated. The cost difference is minimal but the signal noise being passed is not minimal. Insist on only high quality connectors and cables for your installation to reduce signal noise.

Hope it helps :)
