I had the extreme pleasure of calling Direct TV line for assistance this morning (June 7) and I was places on hold for the next available representative.
After an hour and 15 minutes of listening to propaganda and that I would be assisted shortly.
Finally I gave up and called it quits after watching screens of tests being made. Finally things started working and I was able to get some response on my remote controller.
To me, I have to sit and be on hold for an extended period of time, it is terrible customer service as well as having to Direct TV automated electronic voice trying to help.

I just had the same conversation with Direct TV. I can not get HD local channels where I am at., poor service, lousy installation, etc..
No signed contract, but because my mother in law signed the install ticket (and paid the "professional" $60 in cash) we have a two year agreement.
Please tell your friends and family not to change if they have another choice.
