Unsatisfy with Direct TV misleading advertisement

My name is Gina Salazar and I'm hoping my comments and concerns will make a difference with the Direct TV customer service policies.

I'm extremely disappointed with Direct TV's failure to inform their customers about having to wait 6-8 weeks for their rebates to be redeemed.

I'm a new customer and signed up for the Choice Xtra Monthly package, which is $52.99 (before rebate). When I called to have Direct TV set up at my home, the customer service representative specifically told me "only your first bill will show the charge of $52.99 and the $18 credit rebate would show up on the second bill."

Why didn't he tell me to submit this rebate online right then and there? When I received my first bill in the mail, I noticed the charge for this package was $57.99 (should be $52.99) plus you included an NFL Sunday ticket for $53.80 which I never ever requested.

In total, my bill was a whopping $170.01. Once again, I'm very disappointed with Direct TV misleading, dishonest online advertisements and failure to inform their customers of the rebate process.
