Watch out your future from Direct TV

by David
(Omaha, NE, USA)

After having Direct TV for nine months, I decided I wanted to upgrade one SD to HD and add a room.

I currently only have three TVs connected. I called to make these simple changes only to become very upset.

In order to make these changes, I was told that I have to sign a brand new two year contract. If I would have known this before, I would have had an extra room setup with an HD box when I had the original install completed even though I had not purchased the TV yet.

Be very careful if you are considering Direct TV. They are not willing to help me in any way. All I can do is let a brand new HD TV be used for standard definition because I refuse to lock myself in to another two year contract that does not allow for any changes in your original system setup.

Amazing, I was never told that if I wanted to add another room or change to high definition; I would have to sign a new contract. In my opinion, This is some very ungenuine marketing strategy.

Buyer be aware and try another company if you do not like to be abused. They know that I am stuck with them for the next 15 months so they could care less how I feel. Please do not support such an uncaring company!
