Worst customer service ever

We signed up with Direct TV as a bundle package last year. From the beginning it's been a nightmare.
First, they didn't show on the installation date and when I called they said they couldn't possibly get there for another four days. Hold times are atrocious.
I average 10 minutes on hold every time I have to call them, and it's been as much as 20. After a year we decided to switch to Dish Network which is cheaper and has better customer service.
Was that the end? Oh no!! We canceled in September. In November when our refund check (because you pay a month in advance) still hadn't come we called to check only to be assured that it would be coming.
In December we called again and were told that since it had been more than 8 weeks, they could now expedite payment. (It had been more than eight weeks in November but apparently math is not a strong suit over there.)
We finally got our refund check - and it was $10 less than our bill and the two Direct TV Customer Service representatives told us it was supposed to be. They can keep the $10, it's worth the cost to be rid of them.
